Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to Lorebraid at lorebraid.com. “Lorebraid,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the service operated by the owner of lorebraid.com. “You” means the individual using the service.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if higher, and legally capable of entering this agreement. You may not use Lorebraid if applicable law prohibits you from doing so. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account or use the service.

The service

Lorebraid is an AI-assisted interactive-fiction platform. It can import supported story assets, continue fictional narratives, preserve backend story state and memories, track characters and progression, generate choices, and create or retain character and scene images.

The current hosted service is offered without a guaranteed fee or service level. Features may be experimental, incomplete, capacity-limited, or changed as Lorebraid develops. Future paid products, creator tools, marketplaces, or published worlds may be governed by additional terms presented before purchase or use.

Accounts and authentication

You must provide accurate account information, maintain control of your email and connected identity providers, protect your credentials, and notify [email protected] promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Accounts may support password or Google sign-in. Each person should maintain one Lorebraid identity. Lorebraid does not silently merge accounts merely because their email addresses match. To migrate, sign in using the existing method and explicitly link another available method from the account panel.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by Lorebraid’s failure to use reasonable security. You may not sell, transfer, rent, share, or automate access to an account, or attempt to obtain another user’s account or story data.

Your content

You retain whatever rights you lawfully hold in prompts, original story material, images, characters, and other content you submit (“User Content”). You represent that you own or have permission to use User Content and that processing it as described here will not infringe another person’s rights or violate law.

You grant Lorebraid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, modify for technical compatibility, and process User Content only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, improve, or comply with law regarding the service. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for protected backups, legal retention, and material already lawfully processed.

Do not import commercial books, artwork, character assets, or other protected material unless you have the right to use it. Lorebraid may remove content or restrict access when it reasonably believes the material is unlawful, infringing, unsafe, or outside the intended service.

Lorebraid does not claim ownership of your private story merely because it is stored by the service. Authorized administrators may access private content only for the operational, support, safety, legal, and security purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content

Lorebraid uses probabilistic AI systems. Generated text and images may be inaccurate, inconsistent, repetitive, offensive, incomplete, visually defective, or unexpectedly similar to material generated for others. Outputs are not professional, legal, medical, financial, or factual advice.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on, publishing, or sharing them. Rights in AI-generated material vary by jurisdiction and may not be exclusive. Lorebraid does not promise that an output is protectable, unique, non-infringing, or suitable for commercial use.

Attempts to force impossible, world-breaking, or statistically unsupported actions may fail or produce adverse fictional consequences. Lorebraid may enforce story canon, character agency, progression limits, safety rules, and content boundaries rather than follow every requested outcome.

Acceptable use

You may not use Lorebraid to:

• Create, request, upload, or distribute sexual or romantic content involving minors, including fictional, fantasy, aged-up, age-ambiguous, or otherwise disguised minor characters.
• Exploit, groom, threaten, harass, stalk, dox, impersonate, defame, or facilitate harm against another person.
• Create unlawful sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, instructions for serious wrongdoing, malware, credential theft, or material that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
• Bypass safeguards, probe private administrator routes, access another user’s data, disrupt infrastructure, overload generation services, scrape the service, or reverse engineer protected systems except where law expressly permits it.
• Use automated accounts, resell access, misrepresent AI outputs as verified facts, or use the service in a way that creates unreasonable legal, security, or operational risk.

Creative depictions of conflict, horror, romance between consenting adults, and other mature fictional themes may be permitted when lawful and consistent with applicable safeguards. Lorebraid may block, limit, or review requests to protect users and the service.

Lorebraid ownership

Lorebraid and its licensors retain rights in the platform software, design, branding, logos, interfaces, documentation, system prompts, safety systems, story-processing methods, and other service materials excluding User Content. The Lorebraid name and visual identity may not be used to imply sponsorship or affiliation without permission.

Subject to these Terms, Lorebraid grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the hosted service for its intended purpose. No source-code, model, trademark, or commercial redistribution license is granted.

Availability and changes

We may add, remove, limit, suspend, or change features and providers; impose usage limits; perform maintenance; or stop offering some or all of the service. We will try to avoid unnecessary loss of stored content but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or compatibility with every imported asset.

You should retain independent copies of important source files and export story logs periodically. Lorebraid is not a substitute for an archival backup service.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Lorebraid at any time and may request deletion through [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service or others, comply with law, address security risk, or enforce these Terms.

Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to correct a violation, but immediate action may be required for serious safety, security, legal, or infrastructure threats. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limitations, lawful retention, and dispute provisions—remain effective.

Third-party services

Lorebraid relies on third-party services for hosting, storage, databases, AI generation, email delivery, and identity authentication. Their availability and processing may be governed by their own terms and policies. Connecting Google authorizes Google to perform authentication and return the identity information you approve.

We are not responsible for third-party products outside Lorebraid’s reasonable control, but we remain responsible for selecting and using service providers as required by applicable law.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lorebraid is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lorebraid will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunity, goodwill, content, or data arising from use of the service. Lorebraid’s aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid Lorebraid for the hosted service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, violation of mandatory data-protection obligations, or any liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

General terms

The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without permission; Lorebraid may transfer it as part of a legitimate service reorganization or ownership change.

Applicable mandatory consumer law remains unaffected. Otherwise, these Terms are governed by the law applicable where the Lorebraid operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes may be brought before courts with lawful jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it informally.

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Material changes may be announced through the service or by email. If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using the service and request account deletion.
